Some tips before you go
As we already mentioned, this is the least touristic island, which is good because you can enjoy a real paradise, explore nature and have all the fun you want without a crowd on your side. But, to have this experience in Menorca, you definitely need to book your vacations out of the summer season. If this is not possible, then try to get up as early as you can to enjoy the views.
We know vacations are to relax and wake up late, but in Menorca, you really want to wake up around 7 or 8 am to enjoy the beach in peace. You will be able to walk, explore and swim without any disruption. After 10 or 11 pm, the beach will be already crowded.
Another important thing is to be careful of beaches with jellyfish and swell. This is very common on Menorca, and it is something that could ruin your trip. Most beaches and coves are protected from the swell, but jellyfish are always around. However, to avoid them, you just need to do a little research before you go out:
Check the wind forecast and notice if the wind comes from the north or south. If the winds come from the north, go to the south beaches. If the winds come from south, go to north beaches. This method is not 100% precise, but it can help you a lot most of the times.
